January is Human Trafficking Prevention Month and the reason my publisher, Angel Ackerman, and I decided on January 28th for the Mouth Shut Head Down book release.

Mouth Shut Head Down is a work of fiction, but it is a realistic depiction of what sex trafficking looks like in the United States. We keep minors safe by showing teens and tweens the red flags of coercive and manipulative abuse. Storytelling is an excellent way to make this happen.
